Jack Thomas Ankenbruck is a drummer, vocalist, band leader, and producer based in Nashville, TN. A native of Fort Wayne, IN, Jack grew up playing music and a variety of instruments. He counts his influences as Steve Jordan, David Garibaldi, Steve Gadd, Jim Gordon, Al Jackson Jr. among others. As a highly sought after sideman, Jack has shared stages with the likes of Cole Swindell, Travis Denning, John Michael Montgomery, Niko Moon, Teddy Robb, Walker Montgomery, Tyler Jordan, Ali Ryerson, Steve Rudolph, Brian McComas, among others.
In addition, Jack has appeared on recordings and television for a variety of artists within Nashville and abroad. He continues to produce and work with songwriters when his demanding touring schedule allows.
While Jack is predominantly known as a drummer, he fronts his own band that performs weekly at the famed Second Fiddle on Nashville's Lower Broadway. He also has hosted 'The Blue Plate Special' airing on WBOI since 2012. The show airs weekly highlighting the best of American Rhythm and Blues.
