Every day, more than 85 people move to Nashville in pursuit of their dreams. Many are attracted to the bright lights of Broadway and the stages that musicians have called home for decades. When I first moved to Nashville, I spent months walking up and down those streets, hoping to sit in and get my chance to play. However, I didn't know all the songs I heard, so I slowly compiled a playlist for myself to take home and practice with, in order to be prepared. Fortunately, I was offered chances to sit in, and I established myself as a drummer within Music City. Years later, a young guitarist approached me and said they knew my playlist—the same list I had made for myself years earlier. Apparently, I had made it public, and hundreds had found my resource and used it themselves. Since then, thousands have subscribed to this, and many continue to reach out and network after finding my name attached. I take pride in this list up to date (as much as possible) and continue to keep it free available to others in pursuit of their next move.
